Easter holiday to Disneyland

The Easter holiday is over, Pickle and i had so much fun the time just flew by, On the way home after i collected pickle from school she told me how excited she was about going to disney land and wanted to know how many sleeps until we go, i told her we had 4 sleeps to go but before we go to disney land but before we go we are going shopping for some new clothes at westfield, pickle loves shopping for new clothes, we had a lovely day at the shopping mall pickle chose some beautiful new clothes and we had lunch at pizza express. the next day we went to chessington for the first time this year and took Jacob with us, it was great fun the sun was shinning and the park wasn't to busy so we got to go on lots of rides pickle and jacob went on the bungie trampolines pickle did a back flip, and we all watched the new madagascar show it was a great day. Monday night pickle was so excited about going to disney the next morning that she fell asleep straight after tea, in the morning we headed into london to meet Sarah and Jacob and to get the train to disney we arrived at st pancras i had a coffee while we waited for Sara and Jake then we all boarded the Euro star, when we arrived at Disney the sun was shinning we went and checked into the hotel, it was amazing our room was great, we dumped our bags and headed straight into the park it wasn't as busy as i thought it would be witch was great as we didn't have to wait long to get on the rides we spent the afternoon in the park going on many rides then we went back to our room and got changed and went out to dinner before going to watch the day show and fire works display, we all slept well that night, in the morning after breakfast we started the day in the disney studio park there were some great rides like the star wars space flight and buzz light year, after lunch pickle put on her rapunzel costume and we went back to the main park and watch the parade it was great all the caracters from the disney movies were there, after the parade we went back on the rides, the pirates of the carabian was one of our favourites, we went on a ride called thunder mountain none of us really knew what to expect and we were surprised when it took off so fast, it was the first real roller coaster pickle and Jacob had been on, i was worried it might scare pickle but she was loving it, i could hear Sarah laughing in the carage behind us, i turn to see what she was laughing at and saw Jacob holding his hand on his chest saying i want to get of im having a heart attack, when the ride finished pickle said i want to do it again and jake said never again, we went to the rain forest restraunt for dinner there were life size anamatronic elephants in there, then we watched the evening show and fire works again before heading back to the hotel. on the last day the weather turned a bit wet and cold but we still had fun before setting off home, we went on another roller coaster even jake :)

WOW!! the weekend flew by, got to pickles school 30 mins early so i could have a look through the stuff Issy's been doing since she started, it was so nice to be able to see it all, when i picked pickle up she had a teddy with her, she called him weekend ted and told me he had a diary with him so we could write about his weekend with us, we headed to the station and got the train home, after having tea we watched a movie and pickle asked if she could sleep in the living room on the sofa, i told her she could and lay with her until she was asleep, in the morning pickle came in to me and woke me up i couldn't believe my eyes when i looked at the time, it was only 6:30am she climbed into my bed and played with the ipad while i got a bit more sleep, only a bit mind Issy wanted me to get up because she was excited about going to the hairdressers to get her hair cut, so after we had breakfast we walked to the hairdressers pickle asked to have her hair cut to shoulder length i was a bit apprehensive but agreed, i sat with ted while Issy had a wash cut and blow dry she absolutely loved being treated like a big girl, my doubts were soon forgotten, when it was finished pickle looked beautiful, we went to nanny's to meet Jacob Sarah and Richie then headed to brocketts farm, where Karen and Anabelle met us it was a beautiful day the kids played and fed the animals pickle even held a snake and they all had a ride on a pony, i got some great pics of the day, when we got home pickle picked out a dress to wear to her friend Emily's birthday sleep over, she looked gorgeous in it with her new hair do, after taking her there and watching pickle give Emily her birthday present i headed home and got some sleep, in the morning i went to collect Issy and here all about the sleep over, when i got there Issy was eating her breakfast, she told me that they had played games like musical statues and they had there faces painted and it had been a lot of fun, then she said Sophie, Emily's sister had got chicken spots, Emily's mum said they came up in the night, Emily and Sophie usually go to stage school on Sunday but wouldn't be able to go now, Issy said thank you for a lovely time and hope to see you again soon then we headed to nanny's we got to spend an hour with nanny before we had to leave for our train, it was a fantastic weekend, but as usual it was over to quick, i sent pickle her weekly card with pictures in of our time together she should get it in the morning post.............

3 months into to 2012.....

Cant believe its march already and this is my first post this year.. ill briefly bring pickles blog up to date.. I went up to sheffield christmas night and stayed in a hotel so i could get pickle in the morning, at about 10:30 pickle arrived it was so good to see her. there was lots of kisses and cuddles before we set off home, it was a bit of a nightmare drive so the less said the better but we made it to nannys in time to eat and see everyone, pickle gave out the presents we had, to jacob, bell and nanny and got some nice presents herself, we had a great week together visiting winter wonderland, having sleep overs, baking cakes and going to the park, we have had some great weekends since christmas to, been to the cinema with Emily and Sophie, the aquarium with nanny, the butterfly house with jacob and nanny, a big sleep over with Emily, Sophie, Maya, and Isla, and lots of dressing up, my favourite costume for pickle was Smurfette, this friday im going to get to pickles school early so i can have a look at all the stuff pickles been doing there, then we will head home, hopefully get back in time to see nanny for an hour, then saturday morning pickle's booked ind for a cut wash and blow dry at the hairdressers then we will meet up with auntie Sarah and Jacob not sure what we'll do yet but then in the afternoon its Emily's birthday party sleep over, pickle is really looking forward to that :)..... will update after the weekend....

Its christmas morning, im wishing i was with pickle opening her presents and getting a big kiss and cuddle, im waiting for her to call me and tell me all about what santa brought her, ill be heading up to sheffield this afternoon and spending the night in a hotel ready to pick issy up in the morning and head back, we should get to nannys in time for dinner with all the family, and pickle can open all her presents and give her cousins there presents, i cant wait to see my princess, i would give anything to be with you right now pickle, DADDY LOVES YOU SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Time flies by so fast... Friday before last i took nanny up to Sheffield to see pickle in her school play, we got there nice and early so we got to sit at the front by the stage, pickle looked so beautiful in the angel costume i got for her, the play was performed by 4 and 5 year old and it was fantastic they all did really well, it was great to watch, i filmed it but it was difficult because all i wanted to do was keep the camera on pickle lol, nanny and i bought some raffle tickets from one of pickles teachers and after the play they had the draw and we won a Christmas cake, when Issy had changed out of her costume nanny and i took her for tea at pizza express in meadowhall but all to quickly it was time to say by by and for nanny and me to head back to London. early in the week pickles mum let me know pickle was poorly she had to take some medicine and would not be going back to school until after Christmas, so i arranged to pick her up a day early, that day makes such a difference, though we couldn't go out much as pickle needed to rest in the warm but we did visit Santa's grotto. pickle enjoyed that, and we did some fun things indoors, pickle is getting very good on the computer she was designing party invitations and printing them and we made a princess crown with sparkly beads, glitter and pipe cleaners, it was so nice chilling with pickle for a long weekend, its only 6 days until Christmas and i wont get to see pickle on Christmas day, though i am hoping to talk with her on the phone, i will then pick her up on boxing day and hope to get back to London in time for dinner at nanny's with all the family, and pickle will be staying with me for a week, i cant wait.......

Its Monday and iv just had another great weekend with pickle, and what could have been a disaster turned out to be fun...
i hired a mini bus to take pickle and her friends to winter wonderland the traffic was bad on the way there, when we arrived i dropped every one at the entrance and went to park the van, while i was looking for a parking space i got a call from uncle Richie to say they where still at the entrance and there was a 2 hour wait to get in, so it was decided that we would all go out to eat instead so i drove back to pick them up, when i got there i noticed pickles cream tights where dirty pickle told me that her Belle Grace Jacob Maya Isla Sophie and Ellie had all been playing in a huge pile of leaves over 2 feet deep and it was a lot of fun.. anyway we all got back on the mini bus and headed to pizza express while we where waiting for our order to be taken the oven in the restaurant blew up and the manager apologised and said they where unable to cook anymore food that night, so we all piled back onto the bus and went in search of another place to eat finally we managed to get fed and what could have been a disaster wasn't because the kids all had fun even though we didn't get into winter wonderland, during the week i found an angel costume for pickle to wear in her school Nativity play, and Friday nanny and i are going to pickles school to watch her in the play then take her out for tea, i cant wait :)

After the great day at chessington we went back to nanny's for tea then Jacob came back with pickle and me for another sleep over and of course that meant making more pop corn and movies but it wasn't long before pickle and Jacob were asleep, worn out from running round at chessington, so i left them in the big bed in the living room and got into my own bed, they were both excited in the morning when they woke because we were going to London to see the lion king so after we washed dressed and had breakfast we went back to nanny's for a bit then headed into London we got to the theatre just in time to get a drink and some snacks before taking our seats, when the show started pickle and Jacob were mesmerised by the great costumes, it was a great show and we all really enjoyed it after it finished i let pickle and Jacob buy something from the souvenir shop pickle chose a cuddle toy and Jacob chose a book, then we had to head straight back as Jacob was going to his dads for a couple of days, its been a while since i started this post and a couple of weeks have passed, the weekend after we went to see the lion king pickle came to stay with me again and we had more sleep over pop corn nights and pickle Jacob and me went swimming at there favourite bathes, it was children in need weekend so pickle wore her pudsy ears all weekend, we had a great time...

It was a brilliant week, all my worrying about not getting to speak with pickle on the phone was laid to rest the moment we met at the station, the smile on pickles face, the hugs & kisses she gave me, made my heart sing, we made good time to London and headed straight round to Nanny's, there was a few birthday cards waiting to be opened and nanny read each one out as pickle opened them, i told pickle about some of the things i had planed for the week including a little party for Saturday and asked if pickle would like to help write out the invitations, i was amazed at how good pickles writing was, she has only been going to school for a couple of months but the improvements are great, pickle loves it there, pickle wanted to give Jamie_lee her invite so we went next door to see her, Jamie_lee told us that she was going on holiday in the morning and wouldn't get back in time for the party, so she gave pickle a card and present, pickle was a bit upset that her friend was going away, Issy played at nanny's for a bit while i did some shopping then we went home got in our Pj's and made popcorn and watched a movie in bed before going to sleep. in the morning i asked pickle what she would like to do and told her that her bike was fixed, she asked if we could go to the park on our bikes so we set off it was so great just me and pickle riding our bikes and feeding the ducks and squirrels, that afternoon Sarah dropped Jacob round nanny's and pickle asked if he could have a sleep over with us, so when Issy and Jake finished playing at nanny's we went home and made a huge bed in the living room made loads of pop corn and put on a movie, in the morning we went back to nanny's and waited for Sarah Spencer to arrive with Maya and isla then we all headed off to chessington, the girls and Jake had a great time on the rides and looking at the fish in sea life , we all tucked into pizza for lunch then went on a couple more rides and took some pictures of the gang in a giant pumpkin, before heading home, there is still a lot more to tell about the week so ill post again soon......

Its pickles birthday, my beautiful princess is 5 years old, I've been trying all day but unfortunately i have been unable to speak with her, being apart is so difficult but especially at times like this, i can only hope that things will change in the near future and we will get to share time on pickles birthdays and Christmas's. i hope pickle has had a terrific day and i look forward to hearing all about it when i pick her up on Monday, i have organised some great days out for next week including going to see the lion king in London with pickle and Jacob, i cant wait to see her face when i tell her, HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRINCESS, I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART XXXX DADDY

its pickles birthday in 2 days, my princess will be 5 years old, i can hardly believe it, it feels like yesterday when i watched her come into the world, cutting the cord and holding her in my arms, i felt so blessed when she was born and still feel the same now, i wish i could be with pickle on her birthday but sadly thats not possible but i will be picking her up on monday and we will get to spend a week together, its going to be so much fun :) off to post pickles birthday card now.....

Madame Tussauds

Had a really great day out in London with Pickle, nanny & Liz on Saturday we went to Madame Tussuad's, cant believe how life like some of the wax works are, had a great picture done of pickle jumping into my arms, made to look like a Warhol picture, and took pics with Cheryl Cole and jack sparrow, there was a great taxi ride that took you through much of the history of London pickle rode with nanny, i got a taxi with Liz, near the end of the tour we went to see a 3D super hero movie and it was great not only was it 3D but the chairs moved and vibrated and air and water jets mad you feel like you were really in the movie, pickle loved it she said the movie and the taxi ride were her favourite bits, after Madame Tussuad's we went to the south bank to eat, it was such a lovely day, after tea me and pickle got in our Pj's and watched a movie and ate pop corn, pickle loves pop corn, then we got into bed and i read her story's from the books she bought from school, Sunday morning pickle asked if she could ride her bike to the park so we got it out of the garage and she put her safety helmet on and we went to the park, pickle asked if i thought it would be long before she could take the stabilizers off, i said i didn't think it would be long and then we could go riding together, after the park it was time to get the train so we said bye bye to nanny and set off.

Its Thursday night and I'm feeling so happy, because tomorrow i see pickle, in the morning i head to Sheffield on the train ill have some lunch then make my way to Issy's school, i cant wait to see her and tell her how proud i am of her, pickles teacher has said how well she is doing in her lessons and this week pickle was awarded a star, pickle is looking forward to the weekend especially Saturday night as she is having a sleep over with Jake and Annabelle, she asked if i could get pop corn and a movie for them, oh and i have a little surprise for pickle, in her room is a new pink TV I've been promising her for quite a while, i hope she likes it, well I'm going to get some sleep got a long day ahead, will post again soon my gorgeous girl,x

What do we say when we have a nice day? HOORAH Pickles face was a picture when she came out of school Friday and saw nanny waiting for her, she ran to nanny and gave her a big kiss and cuddle,pickle loves her nanny steph so much, we headed for the train station and got the train home, when we got to nanny's Jacob was waiting for us, nanny looked exhausted from traveling to Sheffield and back in one day, so i suggested Jacob have a sleep over at mine with Issy. pickle and Jake liked the sound of that so we went home all got in our PJ's, made some pop corn and put a movie on after we had stuffed our faces and watched the movie i put pickle and Jake to bed, but before they would sleep they wanted to know what we would be doing the next day, so i suggested we head to London go on a duck tour (its an amphibious bus that takes you round London then drives into the river and becomes a boat) pickle and Jake were very excited about doing that, so in the morning we got ready and headed to the train station, on the way we stopped at nanny's to tell her what we had planned, when we got to London we walked towards the EYE and we saw the the duck tour vehicles Issy and Jake wanted to get straight on one but we had to go buy tickets first, we got on our tour bus it was called Mistress quickly and set of round London sight seeing, then after about an hour we drove down a ramp straight into the river Thames with a big splash Issy and Jake thought it was so cool, after the tour finished we went to eat on the south bank at a place called giraffe Issy and Jake got a balloon each and let them go half way across the millennium bridge, as we walked across the bridge we spotted a load of broken skate boards below it was cemetery where kids chucked there boards when they were broken, we carried on walking to covent garden and look at all the street performers, time was getting on and i had to get Jake back, to go to his dads so we hired a rickshaw to take us pickle and Jake liked that as much as the tour, we all had such a great time and all shouted HOORAH

Had a big smile all day, thinking about picking Issy up tomorrow, i cant wait to see her and get one of her super big hugs and a kiss, I've got a surprise for her tomorrow cant wait to see her face when she See's it, ill try and get a picture and post it on here,i love you princess and i cant wait to have you with me for the weekend, big kisses daddy XXXXXXXX

Had a few drama's with the trains but i made it with 30 mins to spare, as i walked up to the school fence i could see children playing in the play ground the i hear pickles voice call out daddy, i walked up to the fence and saw pickle playing with her friends the teacher saw me and walked over so i introduced myself and explained it was my first time collecting Issy and i had arrived to early, she told me her name was Mrs macavoy, and said she was pleased to meet me, she told me what a good girl pickle was, i felt so proud, pickle had come to the fence to see me and asked when i was picking her up, i said 30 mins pickle said yay, and told me she had missed me, Mrs macavoy told me i could wait inside the visitor center until it was time, the school was very nice and the staff were friendly and im sure pickle will be happy there, after 20 mins i went to stand with the other parents i could see pickle waving at me through the window, when she came out pickle ran straight into my arm and gave me a big squeeze, then we set off to London, when we got to Nanny's there was cards and flowers and balloons and lots off people, Issy's aunts uncles and cousins and of course nanny, pickle gave nanny a hug and a kiss and wished her happy birthday, nanny gave pickle belle and Jake a balloon each and a present, every one tucked into the food before giving nanny her cake pickle belle and Jake helped nanny blow the candles out, pickle asked if she could have a sleep over at Nanny's with Jake, and nanny said of course you can, after i gave pickle a kiss good night i went straight to bed it had been a long day but a lovely day... in the morning i went to get pickle and asked what she would like to do she said give nanny her present as we hadn't had a chance to wrap it and write a card so pickle gave nanny her present, a picture frame with a beautiful picture of nanny and pickle having a hug in a lavender field, nanny loved it. we all went and got something to eat then i took pickle shopping, i said i would get her a little present because her teacher said she was a very good girl, so we went to the Disney shop a pickle chose a puzzle of Rapunzel, Issy couldn't wait to get back and make her puzzle, we have so much fun together that the time flys by, when i put Issy to bed i read her the book the school had given her it was called copy cat, pickle liked it and asked if i could read it again straight away so i did then we kissed good night, in the morning after breakfast i took pickle to the park to meet auntie Karen, belle and grace, i took pickles kite and the girls all took turns trying to fly it, before we knew it, it was time to head back to Sheffield, so pickle said by by to every one and we headed off.....

I'v had a big smile on my face all day, tomorrow i get to pick issy up from her new school for the first time, i cant wait to hear all about it, and see her in her uniform for the first time, i'm so proud of my little princess, also so its nannys birthday tomorrow so pickle and i will wrap her present and write a card for her on the train on the way to london, iv missed you so much picklelilly se you after school tomorrow xxxxxx

Time is flying by so fast cant believe pickle starts school in a couple of days, I'm driving up so i can see her in her uniform walking into school for the first time, I'm so proud of my little princess, i know I'm bias but pickle really is a dream, always happy and we always have lots of fun.
Spending 3 and a half weeks together this summer was amazing, pickle, Jake, Sarah and i went to Haven caravan park for 5 days. it was the first time i had stayed at a caravan park and i thought it was great, each day we all went to the beach in the morning, crabbing and catching lots of shrimp and fish as well, it was great fun pickle and Jake absolutely loved it, it was magic to see them laughing especially when Jake went to pick up a shrimp and it started flapping around, he let out a big squeal and we all laughed, pickle was picking up fish and shrimps not scared at all, then before heading back to the site pickle and Jake would put the fish and shrimps back in the water then they would let the crabs go on the beach and watch them race to the sea, one day they had more than 20 crabs to set free it was so funny watching the kids laughing as the crabs all scurried back the the water. when we were back at the site we spent most of our time in the pools one indoor and one out door, pickle and Jake love swimming and its great to see how well they get around the pool with there floats they can get all the way from one end to the other without any help, in the evenings we would all play bingo then Issy and Jake would join in the kids play time and dance at the disco. it was great Issy and Jake asked if we could go there again next summer.

The summer holidays started and i have pickle with me for 3 whole weeks :) the first few days have flown by had a terrific time at chessington yesterday with pickle and Jacob we managed to go on lots of rides even though the park was busy the Que times weren't so bad. pickle had a sleep over with Jacob last night and Jacob stayed with pickle and me the night before. they are both excited about going on holiday Monday, we are going to a caravan park on the south coast it will be the first time i have stayed in a van and I'm really looking forward to it, will add a post with pictures when we get back, we have lots of exciting things planned for the time pickle is here like the anamatronic dinosaurs at the o2 and we will try and get tickets for the lion king show, i am so lucky my little princess loves being with me as much as i love being with her weather we are doing something as exciting as going to a show or just feeding the ducks at the park we always have a great time.....

Just dropped pickle off at Sheffield stn, she has a little ritual of throwing a coin into the fountain and making a wish, I hope her wish comes true :) its been a lovely weekend, auntie Sarah got tickets for pickle and I to see a production of beauty and the beast, It was great pickle was mesmerised, she told me after that the bit with the wolves quite scared her but she thought the show was great, I always ask pickle what she would like to do on our weekends together and she nearly always asks to go to chessington, she loves that place, so we took nanny there on Friday and had a great day then we went to Zizzis also one of pickles fav places. Jake came over on Saturday with Sarah and we all went to the park, Izzy and Jake were riding there scooters and flying a kite, playing crazy golf and climbing trees, then Jake had a sleep over and for the first time he didn't get up ridiculously Early witch was a relief as i was exhausted, we all had a lovely roast dinner at nanny's today before heading to Sheffield, Issy and I cant wait till the summer holidays start we can spend three whole weeks together :)

Had a great weekend with pickle, even the crazy weather couldn't spoil it, we went to chessington on Friday, just me and pickle, it was so nice just the 2 of us, we went on all of pickles fav rides like bubble works and the runaway train, tombe blaster, the merry go round and the bouncing berries, pickle won a prize, by rolling ping pong balls in to numbered slots, it was a princess doll, she was so happy that she had won it on her own, when we left we headed round to nanny's, shortly after we got there Jacob and Sarah arrived, Sarah had to go to work so Jake had a sleep over witch mad pickle very happy, in the morning Sarah, Jake, pickle and I headed into London, the weather was crazy one minute glorious sunshine the next there was torrential rain then sunshine again, we went to the south bank there is so much going on there Issy and Jake loved it, we ate at pizza express then Sarah had to leave for work, so after we we had a ride on the merry go round pickle Jake and i went to the aquarium, it was great we saw sharks, crocodiles, penguins, Nemo and Dorie and we had some great pictures taken, on the way home we got tea and Jake came back for another sleep over, Pickle and Jake got into there pj's after tea and watched a dvd before going to sleep, in the morning we went back to nanny's, it was fathers day and pickle gave me a beautiful card and told me how much she loved me :) then pickle and Jake helped nanny clean and feed the rabbits, after we had dinner it was time to head back to Sheffield, not long now till the summer holidays pickle will get to spend 3 whole weeks with me,she cant wait neither can I.........
